Still looking for a summer job. As I probably did not mention before, I had a job pretty well guaranteed at a local music school, teaching flute. (I didn't need to apply for the job because they heard my playing when I recorded an audition tape there.) I even checked with the secretary as soon as I got back from school, and she was as enthusiastic as ever. So once I'd sorted out my flute lesson time (first priority), I called back. I was informed that they actually would rather go without a flute teacher than get one who can only teach until September.

So that was that.

I've been hoping to make it to soubrette's wedding for about two years now, and things are still up in the air.

I've acquired a student identity card that allows me flight discounts. I have to get a job to pay for the flight. All perfectly reasonable; the problem is, my father will probably still find some reason to disapprove.
