I'm not going to say this very often: right now, I wish I weren't Canadian. More specifically, I wish I were a citizen of some country in the EU because then I wouldn't have to pay £30 for every appointment with a doctor.

Yes, I'm sick. I've been sick since Monday evening. Matters may or may not have worsened today and I may need to see a doctor a second time. You really don't want to know any more gory details than that.

Erp. I hope you have travel insurance that will take over if anything really serious were to crop up? Still, several×£30 is no doubt a seriously unwelcome dent in the finances.
