Just to let people on my friends list know, in case they haven't been showing up: my entries for the summer are all backdated. I write them on my Palm and then copy them at an internet cafe. There are three up so far.

It sounds as if you're doing similar work to what my youngest has been doing since last September.

I just read all your entries from camp. I totally understand what you mean about challenging but rewarding. When I worked at summer camp a few years ago I was frustrated a lot too. But hang in there! It sounds like it's a fun camp!

I'm curious: what exactly has your youngest been doing? Social work of some sort? Camps?

Sorry about the delay in replying.

Youngest has been working in a Catholic activity centre. They have groups visiting from church schools and youth groups, aged between ~9 and 14, usually for 3 or 4 days. They have a climbing wall and a telescope for astronomy, take them out cooking over a camp fire, build rafts, go biking, that sort of thing, while also trying to increase their Christian understanding.
