musical happenings
Apr. 2nd, 2002 06:00 pmTwo guys that play guitar in the residence coffeehouses lost their usual singer this time around, so they've somehow managed to convinced me to sing instead. This will be ... uh ... interesting. I protested that I don't have a very good blues/folk voice, but they reasoned that I was better than tone-deaf (which is what they consider their own singing) and therefore good enough. The coffeehouse is this Sunday, and we haven't rehearsed yet. These are the songs we're singing (in theory):

In other news, there's a band concert tonight. It's going to be awful, but at least it will be done.
- "Political" by Spirit of the West
- "Ain't Nobody's Business" by Porter Grainger and E. Robbins (as sung by Bessie Smith, Eric Clapton and several others)
- "The Last Saskatchewan Pirate" by The Arrogant Worms
