I actually got help several people with computer problems in the lab yesterday! Word must be finally getting out. Perhaps I'll actually use enough hours to get my full salary.

The pit rehearsed underscore music with the cast today. The strings don't follow either the conductor or the rest of the orchestra, the trumpets don't know the meaning of p, the actors don't grasp the concept of their dialogue corresponding certain parts of the music. The actors can't see the conductor, and we can barely hear them. All as usual, except I played the accordion part on a piano instead of the proper instrument. (The pianist was away, and my accordion's still being repaired in Moncton.) It was slightly amusing to note the looks on people's faces as they tried to recall if it really was a boy playing piano last time they saw us.

Rather conveniently, my free movie pass (for the month of my birthday) and the LOTR movie have arrived at the same time. Rather inconveniently, I probably won't have time to see it. (And speaking of entertainment, neither of the Arrogant Worms shows worked out.)

Epic games of Rune between this and the neighbouring house have been happening pretty well every night for about half a week now. I follow who won what game and listen to gleeful descriptions of their favourite killings, but though I associate with gamers I'm not one of them at all. I haven't the perseverence.

It's bitterly cold outside. I could not feel my legs after a five minute walk home. Not that I mind cold weather--quite the opposite, in fact--but I wasn't dressed for it.

I must be getting boring; I'm talking about the weather. Signing off now...
