My (not-so-)new glasses
They don't actually have white dots--those are from the flash. These frames are quite a bit more comfortable than the last pair, which is how I justified buying them. When I arrived at school shortly after buying them, I realized with horror that I had chosen a style that was completely in fashion at the time. (Something I never would have expected of myself.)
I wouldn't recommend looking at the picture of my entire face. I took the photograph myself (hold camera in air with both arms, etc.), and I was so busy concentrating on focusing and centering it properly that I just couldn't be bothered to smile pleasantly as well.

Oh, yes, I also thought some might be interested in a few pictures of our house's Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy theme decorations from November. (We put them together in the space of about three hours.) Most of it was quotations from the book pasted up around the appropriate places (e.g. "We have normality..." by toilet, Vogon announcement coming in front door), but here's the bits that actually looked interesting. We had intended to make a model of Marvin, but didn't have time unfortunately.
Magrathea advertisement, and Benjy and Frankie (whom I made myself, out of white balloons):

Infinite Improbability Drive (a.k.a. washing machine) of The Heart of Gold, with a model of the ship (a.k.a. running shoe):
(Close-up of cup here. I said it was supposed to be tea, but the others didn't believe me.)
My photo of the jar ("So long...") filled with babelfish didn't turn out.

My exam was deferred. Until what date? I don't know. Apparently, I have to arrange it myself and I didn't get the chance today in between making phone calls merely to avoid writing the exam today, delivering the doctor's certificate to the registrar, buying a prescription, waiting by the phone for news of the appointment in Moncton, writhing in pain, and falling asleep in random places from exhaustion.
I have no idea what the situation is with the term paper.
