"They're all gone now, and there isn't anything more the sea can do to me..."
The second (and final) Opera Workshop performance was tonight. Not many people showed up--in fact, the audience was smaller than on Sunday afternoon--but then again it was not publicized at all outside the Conservatory and all the music students are insanely busy. Still, it's been fun. Frustrating (the chorus's "conductor" backstage was more out of sync with the piano every performance, the other singers on my part didn't know their music, etc.), but fun.
I've deliberately avoided signing myself up for anything more involving a time commitment this semester. This means that I won't be in the musical parody this year. I can (in theory) finally get time to catch up academically and avoid the usual late-semester hell of late term papers and frantic studying for exams. In theory, as I said.... We shall see...
For the short term, however, I just have to survive this week (Harmony Mid-Term!), get packed before Friday, and make it to the airport on time. (Next week, I'm visiting
