Three wonderful compliments I've received this year (and not really known how to respond, frankly):
"You speak elegantly."
--a fellow first-year music student
"You should quit this music thing and go into a career as a straight man."
--Imogen
"I think [Jaala's] a closet dancer."
--the choreographer, at Pirates cast party; someone was trying to learn how to pirouette, and I was attempting to demonstrate for him
"You're a good little dancer, and you shouldn't hide it!"
--same girl, later; referring to my performance in the show (in the half that wasn't videotaped, alas--would be very amusing for my real dancer sister)
