jaalaThe internet connection has gone haywire, again. I've been pretty much "out of it" in the terms of my online life, for at least a week.
The router refuses to assign more than one IP address, or something like that; I'm not sure because Dad doesn't tell me much about it. LinkSys (makers of the wireless router) are sending some sort of fix or patch for the software. Right now, one computer at a time can connect directly to the cable modem (usually Dad's, obviously, because he's working every single day of the week even though he's self-employed and "semi-retired") and ipconfig has to be run by both the disconnecting computer and "new" connecting computer in order for the connection to work.
I leave for an extended series of camping activities on Saturday--lasting until July 24, at which point frantic university preparations begin in earnest--so I will most likely not be seen around here for quite a while.
