Oh, by the way
Aug. 6th, 2003 04:49 pmReal Life has been okay recently, quite busy:
I saw two Shakespeare plays in the park on the July 26 and 29
The driving school in-class sessions took up all my time between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. from July 28 to 31; I was glad to be out of that classroom and out of the company of teenage boys.
Piano lessons in Ontario resumed on the 28th, and now I have to un-learn the practices of one teacher and re-learn the practices of another. I've got the key to the church and so I get to practice on their new Yamaha upright. I take along my flute as well and enjoy the luxury of not having to worry about disturbing anyone in my house.
I was fitted for contact lenses; I intend to wear them only about a quarter of the time. I will get the actual lenses on Friday.
I attended the perfectly marvellous Mill Race Festival of Traditional Music
I spent a day in Toronto with some Mount Allison friends. We had fun acting like children at the Ontario Science Centre, ate Thai food, and were incredibly disturbed by absolutely everything about Capturing the Friedmans
