jaalaStill here at home. Sick. Still unable to practice flute because I can't breathe well enough. I might have headed off today, but Deirdre needed the car to move back to Belleville. If current plans hold (i.e. I don't get any sicker), I'm arriving in Kingston sometime tomorrow. I missed some of the orientation stuff I might have liked to attend but it wouldn't have done me much good when I was that miserable.
A note about my sister. After experiencing the summer school, she decided she wouldn't be in any better position at SAB than in a "post-graduate" year at QBS--especially now that her most hated teacher has moved to the Alberta Ballet after being sacked by QBS. So she's staying there for another year even though she's finished high school. She got a sublet room this year instead of a billet, and is planning on getting a job. Sheesh... my younger sister is more independent than me. Not that it's much of a surprise; she's always been very keen to set out on her own path.
The piano equivalency exam is nearly upon me. They're scheduled for Wednesday, so although I'm hoping to have mine rescheduled (on account of being ill) it will still be very soon. My piano teacher told me at a lesson on Saturday that she thought I was in pretty good shape considering how long I haven't been able to practice.
Once I decided to postpone my arrival at school, I broke off packing. I really need to get back to that now...
