Well, it's over. We opened on Thursday night and closed on Saturday. Closing night was the best performance by far so I am glad that was the day my parents came to see it. (Pretty much everybody's parents and families came on Saturday.) They were very impressed... or at least that's what they said. Overall, my first venture into (full-length) opera was a fantastic experience. I hope they let me join again next year.

Opera folk must be more sedate than those in musical theatre. No pranks were pulled during the final performance as far as I could tell, and I stayed at the cast party for about two hours without encountering one completely smashed person. This, IMHO, is nice.
