jaalaOverhead during MUSIC 480 today (Opera and the Romantic Tradition):
[conversation I wasn't following, something about material covered on Tuesday]
Student: But you got really excited last class!
Dr. S: I'm always excited! It's opera!
How I could do anything but instantly forgive this man for giving me a 77 on my mid-term? (There's also the fact that he voluntarily spent at least ten minutes with me after the class figuring out where in the library I could find a score for The Rake's Progress just to make sure that "I wasn't deceiving you too much," when he said a vocal score was available.)
