Apr. 19th, 2004 06:12 pmO Brother, Where Art Thou? was on TV a couple weeks ago. One guy on my floor took a special shine to it and has been playing the soundrack as a part of his mp3 rotation for the past week. Another fellow whose room is right next to mine appears to have re-discovered his Albertan pride--that or the young man down the hall has suddenly taken to playing other kinds of country music (i.e. "new country") as well. It's surreal. These are people who have scoffed at my folk/rock/world/songwriter music and drowned it out with frat party music on the rare occasions when I've played it with the door open as they do. I'm not complaining. It makes for a break from Nickelback.
(By the way, I really like O Brother, Where Art Thou? and its music. New country, er... not so much.)
