I said I'd go to bed about forty minutes ago but got caught up in playing with my camera after I replaced the batteries. As much as I loved my previous userpics, I thought it was time for a change. (I know, I know... I should pay for additional userpics. Then I could include both random pictures and ones that show what I look like.)

So, this is what my hair looks like now. I haven't changed anything, really, just let it grow out. Sometimes, I brush it to the side but it usually ends up looking stupid and sticking out all over the place.

I got into the Crazy for You orchestra. I already knew this when I wrote the previous public entry but wasn't supposed to go telling people until the list went up.

I auditioned for the QSOC chorus. I even prepared an Italian song. It's a good thing I didn't know how many voice majors would be watching my audition until just before I went in because I would have gotten even more nervous than I was.

My sister made her professional debut as an apprentice with BalletMet. She was only in the dress rehearsal/seniors performance, but it was still a professional performance. She danced in the swan corps and was a visiting princess in the palace scene. We're all very proud of her.

flutepicc and I had a delightful time playing pennywhistle & recorder duets for at least an hour one day when we really should have been practicing flute instead. The flute professor says she is hoping to start an early music ensemble next year. This could be a good or a bad thing but I'm hoping it's good.

Choral Ensemble reached previously unwitnessed levels of wittiness, amusement, and just plain fun. The director ended up performing what looked remarkably like a soft shoe number while standing on a desk, in order to demonstrate Baroque organ playing techniques. He nearly fell off when climbing up too.

The student-run vocal jazz group had its first tentative meeting. More people ought to show up next time now that we've sorted out when and where to practice. We'll have music to use next time as well, which ought to help considerably.

Why couldn't I have been there for this? Why?
