Every time I reload the CBC homepage, the death toll is higher. Thousands and even millions of people are injured, homeless, hungry, bereaved. And here I am expecting a new digital camera as a late Christmas gift. My God...

I'm still pretty horrified about what's going on. :( I can't even begin to fathom what these people are going through.

And the higher the death toll becomes, the more numb I feel.

Well you can always get involved. My mom and I have raised nearly 200,000 bucks so far...consider going and answering phones at the red cross...or donating blood...or doing a mass email about where donations can be made...or opening a donation account and going door to door...or taking up collection at work...or anything...and yes, high death toll = huge suck.
