There's a large fire on Great Cataraqui Marsh visible from my window. I can't tell the scale from this distance, but there is an apartment tower just slightly in front of it and the fire spans the length of at least twenty such apartment buildings. It's rather frightening how quickly it appears to be spreading; I can smell the smoke from here. It will probably have an adverse affect on the marsh wildlife and I hope no one gets hurt and (of course) I selfishly hope that it doesn't spread any nearer, but at the same time the sight is morbidly beautiful.

(I did call 911, btw, just in case nobody else had. Naturally, many people had.)
