I'm in this (astonishingly American) hostel's "chill out room" and drunk/stoned/idiotic people behind me are screaming their heads off, so I'll keep this brief.

I'm in London, England. I'll be staying here until Saturday morning (it looks like, somewhat regrettably, it'll be at this particular hostel--St. Christopher's Inn--the whole time) and then I'm heading to Cambridge to meet up with tea_cantata and seek jobs and accommodation. I've already opened a bank account(!) and I'll be spending a fair amount of time at BUNAC tomorrow, making phone calls about job interviews and used mobile phones.

I've only taken the wrong transport route once so far; I'm very proud of this fact. London is fascinating and, for the most part, delightful aside from the crowded Tube car (carriage?) when leaving Heathrow and the scarcity of public bathrooms and rubbish bins. I should have brought a larger backpack instead of two carry-ons.
