Nov. 21st, 2005 12:14 amIt's QMT's bodily fluids year!
I'm afraid I don't much like what I've heard of the music of Blood Brothers but, hey, it wasn't really my choice to make[1]. A lot of people seem really enthusiastic about the show at any rate. I was glad to hear that they won't be attempting RP and Liverpudlian accents--that would have been painful.
[1] Of course, if it was my choice, I'd be considering all sort of bizarre or obscure stuff... Weill, Cole Porter, Noel Coward, Candide, the weirder side of Sondheim's oeuvre (e.g. Assassins), Pelagie, The House Of Martin Guerre....
And as for that musical QMT people constantly use as a "random" example in order to make fun of it: I like Camelot! (Aside from its miserable movie adaptation, that is.) How many of the people who ridicule that show actually know what a wicked sense of humour it has?

Can you imagine my pain when I found out that Western did it the year before I transferred schools? (I was accepted at Western and very nearly went there, BTW.)
