After finding myself able to prattle on at length about one musical I don't even really know yet, I started to wonder how many shows I do in fact know. So I wrote down a list of everything I could think of that I've performed in, seen live, watched on television, seen a movie version of, or listened to. I didn't include musicals only found in movie form (which cut out a fair swathe), revues, pantomime, or works exclusively designed for performance or consumption by children; I also only included cases where I've seen and/or heard the *entire* show.

All told, my tally was 56 musicals, 10 operettas and 25 operas. Not all that impressive compared to a lot of fanatics, but still enough to make me feel pleasantly geeky.

As a comparison, someone who isn't a music geek (that is, me) has been involved in the production of 3 three musicals, seen performances of a further 5, and has also seen 1 opera. (Plus possibly a few more which I'm forgettin due to having only just woen up.)
