I am quickly discovering that in this house it's not at all unusual for the phone or ethernet lines to be down. But there's a lot of conversations and silliness going on while we're not bogged down with work. At this point, I'm really loving being in a house with such a fun and interesting bunch of people. (I chose to live here for the company.) We'll probably all get sick of each other eventually.

Late registration was carried out today, expensive lateness fee and all, so my core music courses are set. I'm vacillating on whether to take Composition or not, because
a) I don't think I'd be much good at it
b) there's a large workload and my schedule is already fuller than usual

I'm also going to try to talk a Women's Studies professor into letting me take her course while being short six credits (two one-semester courses) of the prerequisite number. If she consents, I'll probably move Eastern Religions to next semester and take it instead.

Despite sleeping through my alarm, I actually did manage to get up at such a as would have normally allowed me to get to my fist class on time. (Unfortunately I missed it while registering and ruined the miraculous effect.)

I schlepped myself down to the Conservatory this evening to practice, where I luckily discovered that I am in fact still capable of playing the flute. Not for long periods of time, though, because they're renovating the music library and all the yucky dust drifting around makes breathing a tad difficult. (Also, there's the usual fun muscle tension and pain with which I've been attempting to deal for the past several years.)

As I expected, I'm pining for the students who graduated last May. (Especially you-know-who.)
