Post-dated entry (taken from a later email message)

I had a surreal experience when checking my luggage (six pieces!) in at the airport [heading home from university]. The attendant criticized, tut-tutted, snidely commented to his co-worker in French, and made fun of me for about fifteen minutes but then let me go past without paying any money for excess baggage--as an Easter present! I must have looked really pitiful.
