Well, I woke up Wednesday morning...
Dec. 12th, 2002 04:38 am...and I had Bell's Palsy. Or at least that's what the doctor at the hospital thinks it is. It's mild, at any rate; the numbness isn't complete, I can drink (carefully) without a straw, and I only have difficulty moving the right side of my mouth and my right eyebrow. But any facial paralysis is worrying, so I'm going to be heading to Moncton tomorrow or the day after to have some more tests done to rule out such scary possibilities as stroke or tumours. Now I'm feeling pain in my right arm--probably the placebo effect, but it will still keep me awake. I'll keep wondering how soon I'll be able to play the flute again too.
Needless to say, spending most of the the night at the hospital is not going to help my exam tomorrow. Dad says he thinks the university would be unreasonable not to defer it, but I don't know.
