Jan. 17th, 2003 03:27 amI should be sleeping.
Didn't quite live up to the precedent set on Wednesday--forgot my books again, went back, was 30 minutes late for class.
First flute lesson of the semester: wasn't sure if I should play, so we talked. Professor phoned musician's health clinic (in Ontario, of course), and we got the frightening news that if I still have Bell's Palsy (can't tell, frankly, if it's that or out-of-practice muscles) and I play, I could seriously damage my hearing.
Sent my accordion off in a taxi to Moncton to be repaired; hope it arrived there okay.
Vocal jazz ensemble was great fun, especially the Gene Puerling (Singers Unlimited) arrangement of "On a Clear Day You Can See Forever". Practiced beforehand, and it made things much easiers.
Saw Bowling For Columbine. Line-ups were huge and so many people were left once the showing sold out that a second showing was added. Liked it a great deal (heck, I laughed and cried), but found the scope over-ambitious and some of the leaps of logic (Killer Bees?) staggering. Could use a good editor. (Also has some laughable generalizations about Canada.) We need more sh**-stirrers like him, though.
Went back to conservatory, intending to practice. Remembered rather frightening news, so studied instead. Fell asleep. Woken up by security guard at 1:30. Went home. Stayed up 1.5 hours longer doing nothing.
I should be sleeping.
