[The community amateur theatre troop's] days [in Halifax] were exceptionally busy--so busy, in fact, that I didn't get to find out who to call to extend the length of my stay in the Mount Saint Vincent residence. No one else in my group was staying on, which made arrangements difficult too; they'd all been to Halifax before, naturally, and needed to return to jobs here. So I had to take a ride back to Sackville early Thursday morning.

I did have one afternoon free from about 4:00 to 6:45; I opted for a walk while taking photos. My "grand tour" of Halifax included drives back and forth between MSVU and St. George's round church on Brunswick Street, some of the boardwalk along the harbour, HMCS Sackville[1] (from the dock: closed), Salter Street, a bit of Barrington Street, and Sackville Street and Brunswick back to the church. Not much at all.

I seem to have been direction-impaired for those couple of hours. I must have been thrown by the slant of the roads (quite the difference to someone who is used to Toronto)! I would be interested in seeing more of Halifax, actually, if [there is] a semi-affordable way of getting there and back.

Things are going okay in Sackville. I'll be staying here until around the end of June. I hope that gives me some time to get a group of people together to see Fort Beausejour.
