In all my updating zeal (or rather, my zeal in cutting and pasting stuff written on my laptop a couple days ago), I neglected to mention one very important event in my life today: I found out that Queen's has given me an offer as well!
When I'm not looking at the actual words "Decision: OFFERED- YEAR 2 Bachelor of Music," I still can't quite believe it. (I keep thinking that there might be some mistake and the information on the ASQ is not correct.) For the first time in my life, more than one university actually wants me as a student: I have a choice. (I had to lobby to get into Mount Allison.)
Regardless of whether I choose to go there or not--and in terms of the music program, Western may well be better--I've been given an offer at a school where, "First year students consistently have the highest average entering grades of any Canadian university." Whee! <⁄boast>
But seriously, Queen's was my first choice mostly because its music program is similar to Mount Allison's in several ways and I thought the transition would be smoothest there.
