I have received an additional present, late for Christmas or early for my birthday depending on how you look at it: a digital camera! At the Christmas family gatherings this year, my uncle (Dad's brother) has been telling us about his decision to buy a digital camera. He did a lot of research, found a really good deal, and apparently his descriptions so convinced my father that it was decided I should have one as well. I am truly astonished; it must have been some honey of a deal.
So, yes, I have new user pictures.
After using an Olympus OM-1 for so long, it bothers me that I cannot adjust the focus manually (and the auto-focus doesn't work in low light), I would prefer a non-LCD viewfinder, and I wish it were possible to set the aperture and shutter speed directly. It would also be nice if there were a left-handed model. (My right hand is not so agile and it cramps up occasionally.) But aside from that... whoa.

The prospect of my possibly at some point having longer hair than you baffles me.

re: baffling - It is, isn't it? Practically every relative who has seen my hair since October 31 has said, "It gets shorter every time I see it!"
