Orfeo ed Euridice... what else?
The one and only dress rehearsal took place today. Considering that it was only our first time using props, make-up, lighting, and full costumes, and our second time using microphones and monitors... it went pretty smoothly. In case we weren't nervous enough, people from CKWS (TV)[1] and Opera Canada came along to watch. Apparently, we're newsworthy because as far as we know we're the only completely (undergraduate) student-run opera company in North America.
At the moment, I still look suspiciously like a china doll. I hold the honour (?) of being one of only two girls in the cast who had to have her make-up applied by someone else--in my case, the make-up designer.
[1] Sh-t! I just realized I forgot to tape the news at 11:00.
