The end of the school year, that is. My roommate has left. It's rather depressing being in a room which is completely bare on one side.

Managed to get out of bed by noon today, with the use of several alarm calls and a (requested) wake-up call from Mum. I met Jason* (friend of Imogen's, keeps me company in the balcony during recitals) at the meal hall, and he managed to convince me to help him sort through band and orchestra music. So after finishing lunch and cleaning myself up a bit, I joined him at the conservatory. We went to Tim's (he bought a coffee, I a gigantic iced cappuccino), came back to the conserv and sorted music until 7:30 at night. What joy! Actually, it wasn't too bad. I wasn't exactly out and about, walking in the park and rollerblading and all those things I'd hoped to do, but I was being productive in some way. It was better than spending all day in bed and all night up alone, and I had company. My only complaint was he played the radio way too loud, and on an annoying top 40 station. I finally convinced him to play the ABBA tape he'd found behind a couch somewhere in the conserv, which improved matters for a while. (I'm planning on bringing some of my own tapes tomorrow.)

Jason treated me to dinner as a sign of gratitude, and we headed over to Imogen's where we watched the Due South pilot movie on her TV while she studied. (She encouraged this. Really!) We hung around for a while afterwards, watching TV (Simpsons Biblical episode), and he chatting with Imogen while I tried out the new Sibelius (yeccch...) on her computer. Following a pleasantly companiable (is that a word?) walk out with Jason, I just a few minutes ago came home to a cold and empty room. (My roommate departed at noon, and left the window open.)

* Heck, I'll just call him by his real name. I'm only going to see him for the next three or four days anyway.
