Thursday - written after the fact

jaalaI helped Jason sort some more music on Thursday, and brought my own music. We listened to some Schubert string quartets, much to the agony of Dave (another fourth year music student), who had just finished an exam on string quartet literature. They both seemed to find at least the first of my Corky and the Juice Pigs cassettes quite amusing.
We'd all planned to have dinner together, but I wanted to see the Film Society movie--Gosford Park--so Dave and Jason went to dinner while I went to the movie. Bad mistake. I was so exhausted from staying awake all Wednesday night that I fell asleep at least five times during the course of the movie. I joined them at the restaurant two hours later feeling very sheepish, to learn that the evening's viewing of Monty Python and the Holy Grail at Dave's had been cancelled because he'd forgotten about his landlord's curfew hours. So I ate rather guiltily while Jason watched, and following a fantastic conversation about politics, we both went to our respective homes.
