...a minority of complete idiots has ruined it for everybody. And the poster boy isn't even a Queen's student. I've never had any desire to attend Homecoming parties and even I'm pissed off at the aggression all Queen's students are receiving now.

Every year, there's a huge party on a certain street in the Student Ghetto. The police have been trying to crack down on the noise, street blockage, broken glass, underage drinking, illegal sale of alcohol, etc. for several years now. Many student resented the the increased police presence during this year's Homecoming weekend--another perceived affront in the latest flare-up of town/gown animosity. Some drunken idiots retaliated violently and it brought on a mob response.
That's about as well as I can summarize it as a person who wasn't there.
