a poor excuse for an entry

I didn't make it to the CNE today. Big surprise. Still working on the improv write-ups. My flute is away for repairs so I couldn't practice even if I were organized enough. I'm looking forward to camping out with my Mum all weekend at a folk festival. I need to get to sleep soon so that I can wake up early enough tomorrow.

Since my day was so dull, here's... a survey! I filled it out yesterday. ( Yippee! )

One funny thing about writing livejournal entries: I'm usually not listening to music when I write them. I listen to music a great deal, so it seems deceptive to always leave the box blank. I will almost always have music in my head, but quite frequently it's a mish-mash of more than one piece.

I tend to write at night before going to bed, so the radio isn't on. I'm incapable of writing and listening to music on earphones at the same time. And I am the sort of person who likes to devote my entire attention to listening to music, i.e. notice all the words, probably analyze the music, have the liner notes in hand if possible. So when I write an entry and see the "Current Music" box it makes me feel somehow, uh... guilty.
